Plantation Paradise: Serene 4BR Retreat with Private Pool

Described wildly inaccurate. They say pictures are worth a thousand words…. well our (while there in person) pictures sa Positive: By pictures it’s very shiny clean, upscale and classy inside and out. Didn’t have any weird smells! Location & private pool were a plus Negative: Hugely flies and not just your typical annoying fly these were sewer flies coming from the drains, shower drain and hanging out in the toilets; imagine just trying to use the restroom and having to try and fan away many flies just to feel comfortable sitting with your privates exposed. Not okay! All reported & we were told we should do better by keeping the doors & windows closed as well as making sure trash was in the trash. Sewer flies don’t follow you inside nor do they want your food. Implying we were the problem was not okay. The flies were nearly the last complaint to the host because we noticed the flies when we arrived but initially only notice a few until we were there longer and it became obvious that it was a problem, the drainage problem explains the sewer files. Pool water way below level it should be for the water to circulate therefore made the water crazy hot. Not a cool spot in it! Broken couch & large blind leading out to the pool wouldn’t go up or down we had to duck down to get in and out until my husband took it down rolled it up and put it back up. Another couch was a large sectional couch. It wasn’t attached so one fell through when trying to sit. My husband had to put this together also Toothbrush splatter on mirrors and tile wall from previous guest oh & let’s not forget 6 towels for 6 guests that are there for 4 days & ZERO rags. Insane!!!! We had to wash towels just to have clean towels between showers and pool. The showers were backed up and you ended up ankle deep in your water therefore next person couldn’t take a shower. Husband had to be the maintenance man while on vacation. I Reported all directly to the host & empty promises to make it right is bothersome. The excuses and empty promises to ensure the rest of our stay was nothing but 5 star worthy didn’t happen.

Might think twice about this place. check in process seems a little much but did it. Checked in too find drink or food smeared on the living room wall, big chips on the sheetrock on many corners of the walls, and the 2nd living room couch sagging/broken. I sent pics to their managment co. Didn't ask them to do anything and they did reply. Just didn't want to get charged for any damage. It didn't get better from here. The master shower doesn't drain well so you end up standing 2-3 inches in water, it also leaks on the corner you can see mold there, tried to do a load of laundry and the washer fill never shut off, lucky were there watching tv and notice water all over the floor, this has had to happen before all the trim in that area is bubbled up. took an hour to dry up all the water. The 1/2 bath toilet leaks when you flush it, the guest bath shower leaks as well. There was not 1 wash cloth in the whole place, the funky white bath towels were like sand paper. The dishwasher top tray is broken/ missing the wheel so it sags. The pots and pans are rusty and all scratch up. I expect more for paying this much for a 4 night stay. Yes I took several pics and text them all to the management company, this is what they asked me to do. I asked them for a partial refund, said they would need to talk to a manager, never heard from anyone for several days when I followed up they replied too bad too sad, I should have addressed these during our stay. Are you kidding I Did.
